Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is an extremely well-known American performer and actress. Her parents include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Bell was raised and born in Huntington Woods Michigan. She is of Polish heritage (mother) in addition to German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen was already an accomplished entertainer in the early stages. When she was in 1992, the actress went to her first audition, and was able to win an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell was appointed by her mom as an agent when she was just thirteen years old. She was then cast for newspaper ads and commercials for TV. Along with taking private lessons in acting, she launched her career around that time. Bell was in a role of minor importance that was not credited to her for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a part of the drama and musical clubs of Shrine Catholic High School. Bell was cast as Dorothy in the high-school production that was The Wizard of Oz. After graduating, Bell made the move to New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts and was a musical theater student. Bell left the university in 2001 and began playing the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. She made her first film credit with Pootie Tang at the beginning of 2001. Her scene, however cut, and her only appearance is in the final credits. Bell was part of the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
