Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American producer and actress best famous for the roles she was in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She completed a Bachelors of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is a writer and actress, who is active in film, theater and TV. She began her acting career as a theater actress and then appeared in several television series and independent and mainstream film. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with high praise but also numerous nods and awards. One of them was the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995, she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. The actress has appeared on Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Coming to her movie career she is most well-known for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. The role she plays on TV on ABC's drama series about police High Incident has earned her accolades.
