Rihanna has become one of music's most popular artist. Born in Barbados she grew up listening to reggae and started singing while she was young. Due to the chaos in her home and the fights her parents were having, she turned to music. Soon she decided she would like to make a profession of a performer. While still in highschool she joined a musical group and was invited to perform with Evan Rodgers. The producer was impressed by the talents of this young lady. The producer asked her to move from her home in New York in order to make a career of it in the field of singing, which she happily accepted. Rihanna became an instant hit when her debut album hit the marketplace. Rihanna's peppy songs were the most popular among young people, motivating her into film. Talented and young, Rihanna is widely regarded as both a teen-idol and fashion icon. Rihanna uses her fame to the fullest extent her fame and supports numerous charities.
